NOTICE OF SCHEDULED SEWER SERVICE CHARGE ADJUSTMENT FOR CSD NO. 2-3 CUSTOMERS
Last year County Sanitation District No.2-3 (CSD 2-3) performed a comprehensive sewer rate study and the Board of Directors adopted a 3-year, phased-in increase to its sewer service charges (CSD 2-3 Ordinance No. 50 adopted on June 22, 2021). These increases are needed to meet multiple financial obligations, including, but not limited to, capital improvements and rising operation/maintenance costs of the District’s infrastructure, purchasing, or leasing supplies and equipment required as part of the foregoing obligations, and maintaining adequate reserves and solvency relating to the collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater from your residence or business.
The table below is your new sewer service charges for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023). Annual Sewer Service Charges are placed on your Santa Clara County property tax statement. The charges appear on the tax statement as a single line item and are listed as “County Sanitation 2-3”. Sewer Service charges are not a property tax and are not related to the assessed value of a property. They represent a charge for a service provided. Please call or email Benjamin Porter at (408) 255-2137 (email@example.com) if you have questions.
